 n artists On Saturday\, August 27 between 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM we will fest
 ively open the group exhibition ‘AFRICA NOW II’ with 4 African artists
  from 4 different countries. Feel more than welcome to join the opening at
  4 pm with vocals and guitar music by young talent Giulia Bandiziol\, also
  lead singer and guitarist of the girl rock band “Serendipity” from Th
 e Hague. Afterwards you can indulge in a very fine selection of contempora
 ry African art while enjoying a snack and a drink and meet and greet parti
 cipating artists Tchif Thiakpe (Benin) and Kingsley Ogwara (Luxembourg/Nig
 eria). AFRICA NOW II This recurring summer exhibition aims to provide an i
 nsight into the richness and enormous diversity of contemporary African ar
 t with a presentation of recent works by 4 internationally recognized arti
 sts. Mature art\, which no longer has anything to do with the stigma of pr
 imitive\, naive exotic art\, but is a synchronous part of the internationa
 l contemporary art world. Of course\, this is only a glimpse of the many-h
 eaded appearance of contemporary African art\, but we are very proud of th
 e quality and versatility of the work that was brought to the Netherlands 
 for this exhibition and partly made here in residence. Tchif Tchiakpe (Ben
 in) shows his famous abstract expressionist total compositions full of dep
 th and colour\, to which he adds his own symbolic language. Kingsley Ogwar
 a (Luxembourg/Nigeria) composes his also abstract colorful compositions in
  a pointillist pastiche style with a rich texture\, which seem to take the
  form of crowds of people\, next to some abstract sculptures in alabaster 
 stone. Up-and-coming talent Mounou Desire Koffi (Ivory Coast) creates a ne
 w series of stylized figurative textile works from recycled mobile key pad
 s\, jute and linen in [...]
