During the weekend of Rotterdam Art Week from February 2 to 4, 2024, art lovers can indulge themselves in the old historic city center of Schiedam, only about 10 minutes away from Rotterdam Center, Marconiplein, M4H area (including Haute Photographie, Rotterdam Photo 24 and Unity in Diversity) and the Van Nelle factory (Art Rotterdam international art fair).

Art Route Schiedam runs through the old city center of Schiedam with its monumental museum quarter, canals, windmills, the old city park and ends at the experimental multidisciplinary art spaces SodaFabriek and Ultraum/Glasfabriek, where the Schie can be crossed by boat.

Public transport options from Rotterdam

Rotterdam M4H

From the Rotterdam M4H site, where the Object Design and Haute Photographie fairs are located, take tram 21 or 24 from Marconiplein, which will take you to the Koemarkt or Broersvest bus stops in 6 minutes. Both trams are also directly connected to Rotterdam Central Station (10 minutes). From Koemarkt you can walk in a few minutes via the Hoogstraat to location no. 1. You can also take the metro to Parkweg station (7 minutes), from where you can start the route at location no. 4 in about 5 minutes.

U kunt ook de metro nemen naar station Parkweg (7 minuten), vanwaar u de route kunt starten op locatie nr. 4 in ongeveer 5 minuten..  

 Van Nelle Factory

From the Van Nelle Factory, where the Art Rotterdam art fair is located, take bus 38 from the Beukelsbrug stop towards Schiedam-Centrum train station (shortest route 10 minutes). From the station you can walk to location no. 4 in 10 minutes, or you can take bus 51, 54 or 126 and get off at the next stop Delflandseweg (1 minute) and walk 5 minutes to location 4

Water taxi

 From water taxi Rotterdam, get off at stop 93 Schiedam-West, after which you walk to location 11 in 10 minutes.
