Artistic Explorations: A Weekend of Contemporary Art and Dynamic Performances in Schiedam

During the weekend of Art Rotterdam Week (5-9 February), art lovers can indulge themselves in contemporary art within the old historic center of Schiedam, only about 10 minutes away from Rotterdam Center, Marconiplein and the Van Nelle factory. Amongst others, at OpenArtExchange the group exhibition Hello 2021 runs with paintings, collages, drawings, iron wire works and installations by Steve Bandoma and Jonathan Vatunga (DR Congo), Kingsley Ogwara (Luxembourg / Nigeria), Laftmonk (France / US), Fenneke Hordijk, Jeffrey Burger and Astrid Meijer on contemporary urban life and art night on 8 February. 

In addition, there is a presentation/solo exhibition of the hybrid Art-Dance project Between Open Borders & Isolation (BOB & I) about the relationship between man and his environment with glow-in-the-dark installation, objects, collages and photography by Lawrence Kwakye (The Hague) and 7 to 9 February modern dance performances by the international Dance company FDR Dance by Fernando Dominguez (Mexico/Rotterdam). Dance performances are February 7 and 9 at 4:00 pm, February 8 at 8:00 pm.
