During the weekend of Rotterdam Art Week, we have organized a special meet and greet with on of our international artists. It is the final weekend of the solo exhibition The Book of Casca and therefore we have flew in no one less than Casca himself! On Saturday 3 July, you have a special opportunity to ask all questions and hear his stories.


Jazz performances during Art Route Schiedam

Art Route Schiedam has organized several jazz performances throughout the city especially for the Rotterdam Art Week. Entrance is free. Lineup:

Eddy Nielsen Trio

3rd July @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. 
Lineup: David Gutiérrez Franco – Piano, Eddy Nielsen – Double bass, Thorsten Grau – Drums


The trio around Rotterdam double bassist and composer Eddy Nielsen presented their first album in 2019. They are now working on a successor. Nielsen's compositions show influences from classical music, ECM and European jazz, but the titles simultaneously refer to his living environment and personal events. The piano trio knows how to translate this to the stage in an extremely moody and lyrical way. To enjoy and dream away.

Seb Wrincq Trio

3rd July @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Seb Wrincq Trio of top guitarist Sébastien Wrincq from Belgium will perform at OpenArtExchange. The first set is from 2:30 PM to 3:10 PM and the second set from 3:40 PM to 4:20 PM. Lineup: Sébastien Wrincq (B), guitar Giuseppe Bordasco (I), (subject to change) bass guitar Django Buiting, drums Belgian guitarist and composer Sébastien Wrincq (Seb Wrincq Music) completed his bachelor's degree in jazz guitar at the Rotterdam Conservatory in 2020, where he is now pursuing his master's degree. In 2019 he made a big impression during Dizzy's Jazzhouse with his quintet Veles' Mood. With a combination of his own compositions and original arrangements of standards, his energetic trio plays both traditional and modern jazz.

Speciaal voor de Rotterdam Art Week heeft Art Route Schiedam verschillende jazz optredens door de stad georganiseerd. Toegang is gratis.

Line-up

  • Abhinav Khokhar (India), double bass
  • Auke de Vries (NL), drums

Zij starten hun eerste set om 15.45 uur.

Miran Noh studeerde klassiek piano in Seoul in haar geboorteland Zuid-Korea. In Rotterdam volgde ze haar masteropleiding jazzpiano en viel zij bij de groten van de Nederlandse jazz als Benjamin Herman op door haar technische kwaliteiten gecombineerd met haar improvisatievermogen. Zij werd dit jaar genomineerd voor zowel de Erasmus Jazz Prijs als de Dutch Jazz Award.
